Week #2 of Curiosity

week: 2026-09-01 to 2025-09-07

  • I was talking to my big ass bro Saksham about last week’s week of Curiosity and he had a very strong say about it being too technical and more like a summary to my notes. What are humans for? Learning from their mistakes right. So, let’s go.

  • I finally bought spotify premium, thanks to my friend from Vizag - Pramod for investing his whole day to getting me that shit and my bestfriend Mandira for giving me her IIT student ID. Turns out, student id needs to be located in India and I found a loophole in it to get that.

  • This week was also about learning Noise protocol. It is aimed at building one from scratch for my work on Weft protocol(more on that in the coming days).

  • I took some design decisions for my Weft protocol. Let’s leave the technicality out for this week. I am hoping for feedbacks on this and then we will see how it shapes in the coming weeks.

  • I also tried running a few experiments over my NSL project. I am trying to figure it out, by actually breaking things for this one. I will see how it goes.

  • This week was about trying Socratic approach on learning things i.e. learning by answering questions then mugging up the theory. I will try to get better at it in the coming days. Will keep you updated. I am also trying to get good at it and read about it to get hold of it.

  • I finally got my reading habit back fgs(no jinxing, fingers crossed). Last 3 days was 6 chapters of Animal farm, haha. Shitloads of fun.

  • A realization I will like to share: When things feel scatterred and you seem to feel guilty for not doing another thing while you are trying to engage in one try SMART goal setting approach.

  • I also tried a problem solving approach wherein I try to build the smallest version of anything that I do. What did I try it with? Multitenant Job queuing system in go and Noise Protocol, too. A blog on it soon.

  • I also went on two job interviews. OOP and database ruled the interviews.

Quote of the week

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
